It’s hard to imagine what life would look like if we were rotating around some star other than the sun. So the Russian Federal Space Agency imagined for us. And it looks awesome. The video above puts different stars at the center of our solar system, envisioning Earth in a very different light. Five different lights, actually.

Our planet orbiting some of our stellar neighbors, such as the Alpha Centauri binary system, Polaris, Sirius, and Vega. (The video is just a visual demonstration; it doesn’t account for the fact that some of these stars are much bigger than the sun, and that the Earth couldn’t have liquid water if it orbited some of these, at least at its distance from the sun.) ….Enjoy!
