An international team of astronomers led by the Belgian Vincent Van Eylen (PhD student at danish university Aarhus) discovered, by using NASA’s Kepler telescope, a new extrasolar planet, called Kepler-410A b, lies in the constellation Lyra about 431 light-years away from Earth.
They are impossible to notice, but scientists are convinced that they exist. Black holes are kind of breaks in the textile of space and time that they attract everything that is close at hand. So, nothing escapes, not even light. Scientists believe they have found the specific features of these holes here on Earth, in the southern Atlantic Ocean.
The biggest star known so far is dying, and eventually will explode, astronomers have announced, according to AFP. By using a telescope from the European Southern Observatory (ESO) in Chile, astronomers have studied the star W26.
